TO MY FELLOW WOMEN WITH DISABILITIES-WWDs I MAY NOT BE A ROLE MODEL BUT I AM A WOUNDED HEALER
There is always one
great encouragement that whenever, as Women With Disabilities-WWDs,
are faced with a trying moment they should have a conviction that it
will come to an end or they will have or get a way of living with it
and overcome defeat. This, we give it an approach, where WWDs are
encouraged to look at what they are able to do and how far they have
come from, this is to make them accept that despite the limits in
life, there is a power un-explainable that works in them and enables
them to move on with life within the many odds that they experience
with their disabilities.
This supernatural power
is what is called the power of the divine hand of the Most High. This
is because life moves in a dismal circle and the world ceases to be
universe; instead, it becomes a new structure, diceased in its
innermost form, where the human beings feel themselves to be complete
strangers. In this kid of life, we lack the true sense of community.
This is a condition that calls for human intelligence given by God,
to create a new world and make it a happy place to live. This calls
for the inclusion of the positive cultural practices, that embrace
the being of the disabled, and make them feel as part of the
community.
The mystery of human
lies not only in the totality and solidarity but also in the
continuity with what has gone before and the community with the
surrounding. It is well seen with great appreciation that WWDs are
not enemies to themselves, instead, they are fighting against the
myths of the society in relation to their disabilities. This is
evident in the way they have taken a point of living happy lives in
form of social relationships that they find suitable for them. Some
are married to men without disabilities, some are single mothers, and
others are married to disabled men like themselves. God is infinitely
perfect in His plan of absolute graciousness to all human without
classifying them according to their perfections and imperfections.
